Never. MLC 2006 prohibits charging seafarers for placement, and we comply absolutely. Medical, visa and flight costs are paid by the shipowner.

Officers: typically 4 ± 1 month rotation. Ratings: typically 6 ± 1 month. Tankers and gas carriers tend to shorter rotations; bulk and container can be longer. Specific terms are in your offer letter.

To submit a CV: name, rank, contact details and CV file. To be offered a contract: passport, seaman's book, CoC, STCW certificates, medical (ENG1/PEME), and flag-state endorsements as required.

Our principals welcome Filipino, Ukrainian, Indian, Russian, Greek, Romanian, Polish and Croatian seafarers. Other nationalities considered on a per-vessel basis.

Monthly to the bank account of your choice (or your nominated allotment). USD typically; some flags pay in EUR. Paid by the 10th of the following month, audited by the shipowner's payroll.

Allotment system available — you can split monthly pay between yourself and family accounts. Most principals also offer monthly satellite Wi-Fi allowances.

Yes. Approved STCW courses are reimbursed by most principals. Promotions are supported across contracts — most of our Masters and Chief Engineers were promoted internally.
